Welcome to the home of the Terry Moore Scholarship Fund. The fund was formed in 2007 by eight former students of Mr. Terry Moore. The Fund holds races each year and funds research projects and college scholarships at McLean High School.
The name "Chemistree" comes from a winter tradition that Mr. Moore started. Every December he brought in a small plastic tree and had students make chemistry-related ornaments. It was his way of being politically correct while still celebrating the winter season.
The purpose of the Terry Moore Scholarship Fund is to embody the values and legacy of Terry Moore. We will embody his passion, dedication, and kindness in the form of educational scholarships. Our intention is to carry on his legacy at McLean High School, where he taught for seven years, as well as to support his family, who showed unbounded support for his endeavors in the classroom as well as in the greater community. Any endeavor of this organization will put Terry Moore's values first and attempt to share the compassion that he showed to all of his students with the greater community.
